Food Safety Tips

Although AGIANT Packaging’s aluminum pans, aluminum lids, and aluminum cardboard lids are food, oven and microwave safe, we recommend following the guidelines below when using any type of aluminum foil container.

Basic Product Safety


  • Use caution when placing lid on and crimping edges of the IVC (Interrupted Vertical Curl) lids as pan edges are sharp.
  • Center pan in the microwave for even heating
  • Secure lid for transportation and shipping.
  • Create a tight seal around edges.
  • Use caution when opening lid from hot item as steam may burn skin.

Do Not:

  • Do not use aluminum cardboard lids near a direct flame.
  • Do not use aluminum cardboard lid in oven set to broil.
  • Do not microwave lids.
  • Do not put plastic containers in conventional ovens. (They will melt)
  • Do not heat aluminum cardboard lids for more than 2 hours or at temperatures over 325 degrees.
  • Do not heat aluminum pans at temperatures over 600 degrees.
  • Do not use lid more than once

    Basic Food Safety


  • Wash hands and surfaces often
  • Cook to proper temperatures.
  • Refrigerate promptly.
  • Discard any food left out at room temperatures for more than 2 hours.
  • Reheat foods to 165? within 2 hours.
  • Use caution when cooling food.

Do Not:

  • Do not mix leftovers with fresh food.
  • Do not reheat food that has previously been reheated.
  • Do not refreeze meat or poultry unless cooked first.
  • Do not hold hot food below 140 degrees or cold food above 40 degrees.
  • Do not defrost food uncovered.
